I have had a couple people ask me about automated directory software as of
recently. This often happens when Google appears to monkey around with th
e PR update and people start to panic a little.

I was hoping that I made my position clear on such matters.

I would never experiment with such applications on my primary network . .
. in fact I would not use them at all.

Here is the position that myself and Mr. Black are taking on the issue,
and why the services we provide are all hand submitted with your Theme
Cluster as the digital "mantra".

1.  First and foremost, manual search engine submission is the only
acceptable method of submission to a directory.

2.  Automated submission is considered as SPAM which is obvious from the
various confirmations required by the directories.

3.  A directory is organized into categories and subcategories. By doing a
manual submission the website is submitted in the right category, which is
not possible in the case of automated submission. Automated software can't
adequately submit to any directory because it cannot study the directory's
structure and decide which category is best suited.

4. Manual Submission takes care of the different input systems of various
directories. An automated submission just posts a set of predefined data
irrespective of the input fields which results in an incomplete submission
followed by rejection.

5. No directory is skipped in manual submission. Any Image confirmation
(CAPCHA code) and email confirmation is done immediately which is not
possible with automated software.

6. More emphasis on niche directories related to your website theme in
manual submission.

7. Very high acceptance rate for manual submission compared to an
automated submission.
