The CIA (central intelligence agency) seems to be getting into the social media and "open source" game. They have been using advanced web scraping and data intelligence tools to get a handle on what is happening around the world and to prevent terrorist activity.

Here is article about the open source "snippet harvesting" program from wired magazine. I bet they have some "killer apps" when it comes to keyword research and behavioral intelligence online. We would love to work with them on any projects as long as they foot the bill. ; - )
