Aaron Wall Keyword Research Video on Google Video
Aaron Wall and keyword research.
Most of you know that my "Guru of choice" is Aaron Wall. Now that I sort of . . . well . . . am a guru I am asked what books I recommend etc. One of my favorite SEO books is Aaron's SEOBOOK. Aaron can also be viewed on Google Video Beta under the keywords "keyword research". This is a good keyword research tutorial for the novice. If you want a basic introduction in how to "survey the market" of keywords and how all of these tools connect their data, watch Aaron Wall's keyword research video tutorial. He also introduces his own keyword research tool available on the seobook website.
The SEOBOOK has an excellent write up about latent semantic indexing that I suggest everyone read if you are interested in the subject. I discovered this SEOBOOK LSI write up by querying the phrase "is google using latent semantic indexing?"
I also like this comment on the selected forum quotes regarding "synomic keyword usage":
"I'm not about to go post my research and examples on a public forum. But, I'll warn you now - if you're not varying your anchor text, and you're not writing pages synonymous with your term that don't contain the term you're targetting, you're going to be in a world of hurt within the next 90 days.
We've been tracking this update for the last 6 months. I was surprised to see it happen now - I honestly didn't expect it until next month or March, but it's here."
