Is the duplicate content penalty a myth?
Jill Whalen of High Rankings reveals the nuts and bolts behind the “duplicate content” myth. This is a “beginning level” discussion but she makes some great points about content management systems and mod-rewrites.
Is the real issue behind the “dupe content” myth more of a common sense problem, or is there really an algorithm behind this penalty?
Is there a penalty at all, or are the search engines simply looking for unique combinations of topics and themes?
Is there a value in using services like copyscape that check to see if your content is unique on the search engines?
All of these things and more are discussed inside the Theme Zoom members area.
Also be sure to become a member of SEO Revolution and get the "skinny" from Jerry West on duplicate content. He just posted a newsletter on it today called: "The Skinny on the Duplicate Content Penalty".
It will be interesting to see the contrast between what Jerry has to say and what Jill Whalen says.
