Stop Groveling for Low Hanging Fruit
Forget About Low Hanging Fruit. Swallow Your Market Whole
(While You Still Can)
Hi folks,
There is nothing wrong with crawling on your hands and knees searching for “low hanging fruit” (KEI) keywords left over by your vertical market competitors.
But this is no way to enter into a market. It is also not a great way to find the best niches and micro-niches to exploit within an industry.
The best way is to first gain a “top-down” or “birds eye” view of the entire pile of vertical market keywords, products, topics, themes, interests.
When I am suggesting that you “swallow your market whole” I mean that you should take a top-down approach to any keyword or theme before you scurry off and build a website or web-page targeting that term.
Which vertical market segment does the keyword in question belong to?
Does the term have a significant market share inside more than one market? If so which ones?
Do you have your own product?
If so, which vertical market is your PRODUCT within?
Is your product of interest to people in multiple markets? If so which ones? (We call this “market convergence”.)
And if you do know your “market convergence”, have you built these converging themes into the silo architecture of your website?
There is nothing wrong with putting tons of “low hanging fruit” keywords in your website. We just want to make sure that you understand which “high hanging” topics and themes these “low hanging” keywords are related to. In this way you can build the “high hanging fruit” topics and themes directly into your website architecture (called silo-ing).
What you are likely to discover is that these vertical market topics and themes are not “hanging” as high as you might think!
Theme Zoom is going to become a “by referral only” membership area and we will be re-opening our doors for a week starting on July 10, 2007. This will allow us to focus all of our attention and energy on the goals of our current members.
Here is an audio where I talk about “low hanging fruit” versus swallowing your market whole. Enjoy.
Swallowing your market whole does not mean you have to build a giant “authority website” or become the next Wikipedia. You can “swallow” your market and “spit out” the parts you don’t want. ; - ) This is the best way to “niche mine”.
For example, if you have a “niche” product in the hypnosis industry, you may not want to build an authority website that dominates every single niche within the hypnosis industry.
But you should STILL use Theme Zoom to “swallow the hypnosis market whole” in order to quickly determine which keywords, niches and topics are most important to the niche-portion of the market you plan to dominate.
Theme Zoom was designed to help you swallow your market whole, and spit out the pieces that “taste bad”. (Low TRI™ and low market share).
Understanding how all the topics within a MASSIVE JUNK PILE of vertical market keywords are all Inter-Connected will help you quickly “spit out” (ignore) topics that are not profitable and focus on the ones that are most likely to make you money.
Getting the picture?
I look forward to seeing you on the inside.
