A CMS doesn’t have a folder structure, obviously, but they employ the idea of “categories” and this will give us the same advantage. Make sure your CMS is set up so that the categories are part of the URL string:

Get a handle on your keyword budget; DWS will demonstrate the cause and effect of your business objectives by flagging keywords that meet your needs.
Keyword research is put in perspective by showing you SEO as it really is – a set of systematic business decisions that will make or break your online business.
I recommend that you beat the rush and get Domain Web Studio now – while it’s cheap and ugly – because in very short time it’s going to molt and become a swan… A “black swan”.

I have a website I built with Wordpress about 8 months ago and I have some decent rankings but have stagnated with improvements. The market is either niche or micro niche and the terms I am targeting are very low competition.
Thanks to lots of coffee and some wonderful training videos I realize that every time I add a new article I am diluting the theme of my website.

I am already close to ranking for one of my primary terms.. page four.. so if I write the supporting articles with all the keywords in an order that works for me I should still form the same keyword DNA braid sense right? That’s the biggest question I have in the linking strategy and production strategy. I see how the supporting keywords form the DNA or focus Google in on that particular node

And many website developers stop right there. They might add seo-friendly aspects to the website (onpage factors), but as far as actually driving traffic to the website, well… that’s the realm of SEO and online-marketing; another cost entirely.

Many of you may remember the (rather antiquated) original keyword research formula created by Sumantra Roy called KEI (Keyword Effective Index). Sue Bell of Theme Zoom shows you how to take the KEI function inside The Last Keyword Tool to a HNL (hole nuther level).

As you know the SEO world is changing so fast that sometimes it is better to publish several items at once. The following entry will cover what we believe to be the most interesting SEO and online business strategy related news of the last 4 months.
It’s the humble opinion of Sue Bell that Google has lost the battle to Facebook. At this point Google would have to do something truly remarkable to change this fait accompli. This is not a small thing for Sue to say- and over the next few posts, we will be considering the impact and meaning this may have for your business and the future of online strategy in general.

Last week Yahoo! transitioned their search engine backend to pull results from Microsoft’s Bing. The result is that Yahoo will *look* the same, but the results will now come from Bing. This will allow Microsoft and Yahoo to combine their resources for indexing and allow their advertisers a larger market share, as well as significantly reducing Yahoo operational costs. An understandable play given circumstances. Yahoo was on the verge of going bankrupt without this intersession. Casualties of this transition, however, include Yahoo’s Link and LinkDomain legacy search functions.

Relationships… I want to pick up from my last post where I talked about Google having bought Metaweb last week. In the fascinating videos below you’ll see explanations about the where and why of web 3.0. The first one, a video by Kate Ray, discusses, among other things, the pros and cons of trying to create a system based on ontologies. Both videos combine to give a great overview of where we are now and where we NEED to go in order to make sense of the billions upon billions of pages on the web.

Interestingly enough, just the other day I was playing with Google squared, the big G’s response to Wolfram Alpha, and thinking how it had soooooo many possibilities – it literally made me think in new directions – and yet, sadly, it fell way short of my desires to actually return meaningful results.

The extreme examples of undesirable sites are the spammy, duplicate content, cheap bot created marketing nightmares. With any luck, Google will figure out a way to get these kinds of sites de-indexed entirely. However, the folks who run these kinds of sites are always inventing new ways to trick the search engines. It’s this, as much as anything, that causes Google to have to constantly tweak their algorithms to defeat the latest black hat tricks.
