Why I unsubscribed from Playboy.

Hi folks,
There is a phenomenon in psychology called "snapping" when someone has a sudden unexpected personality change- and starts taking drastic measures.
I think that happened to me today.
Understand, I am not lashing out at any one person. I have no idea exactly what caused my snapping, but it seemed to be connected to the 5 internet marketing e-mails asking me to join "Rich Jerk" over at the Playboy mansion.
I found myself unsubscribing- quite suddenly- to five different Internet Marketing lists with an unexpected queasy feeling in my stomach. I had not suspected that I would EVER unsubscribe from some of these lists.
I don’t think this feeling has much to do with the idea of "Playboy" itself, but was perhaps a lethal combination of Internet Marketing "product launch" mentality combined with the "dream selling" value proposition.
I simply snapped.
Unsubscribe, unsubscribe, unsubscribe.
Doubtless the entire Internet Marketing product launch community skews mostly male. It doesn’t take an Einstein to figure this one out. I noticed there were no female Internet Marketers on the sales page for this chin dig. (I could be wrong about that).
Anyway. For what its worth, I think it is important to carefully consider the value proposition projected to a market. I would be interested in seeing the numbers and the conversion on the "Playboy Mansion" letter.
I also wonder what the collective "unsubscribe" was for the boys sending this stuff out.
