Were continuing to iterate on our Panda algorithm as part of our commitment to returning high-quality sites to Google users, said a Google spokesperson. This most recent update is one of the roughly 500 changes we make to our ranking algorithms each year, the spokesperson added.
In marketing, the decoy effect (or asymmetric dominance effect) is the
phenomenon whereby consumers will tend to have a specific change in
preference between two options when also presented with a third option
that is asymmetrically dominated.
A CMS doesn’t have a folder structure, obviously, but they employ the idea of “categories” and this will give us the same advantage. Make sure your CMS is set up so that the categories are part of the URL string:
I am already close to ranking for one of my primary terms.. page four.. so if I write the supporting articles with all the keywords in an order that works for me I should still form the same keyword DNA braid sense right? That’s the biggest question I have in the linking strategy and production strategy. I see how the supporting keywords form the DNA or focus Google in on that particular node
Creating a synonymic set for the silo theme will give you an added dimension to your website. It reinforces the the theme by finding different semantic ways of expressing that theme that can then be reflected in all the articles in your silo, helping the search engines to understand what the theme is and realizing that you are talking about it using a wide variety of terms. This will assist you to get ranked for keywords that Google believes are synonyms for the terms you used. We have effectively gotten ranked for a multitude of similar terms without any inbound links that utilize those terms as anchor text.
In order to give you a quick overview of all three promotional maps, I have added some 3 minute video overviews on the Pyramid of Promotion Pillar page of the Theme-Zoom blog.
While creating new algorithms for the Blueprint functions in Krakken I experimented with different filters in TLKT to get an idea of the best way to code Krakken.
Social media is becoming more pervasive, and when you know how to use it, it can be a powerful marketing tool. But because the tools are easy to use, they are even easier to screw up. This article is by [...]
Theme Zoom’s Krakken is the only keywords of it’s kind that uses natural language processing to sift through tens of thousands of keywords in order to find the most profitable and relevant terms related to your parent theme. These float to the top of the Krakken display screen and are considered the most interesting. You may click the “show all keywords” link to reveal the less perfect keywords algorithmically related to your word. Just because they are deeper in the mix does not mean they are less useful to your business or to your content creation.
Recently Theme Zoom Architect Sue Bell and I were discussing the recent article posted by Erik Ward on Search Engine Land called Link Curation. The concept of curation is used to talk about the ‘preservation and building’ of evergreen links. This is done by the attracting them with quality content- essentially the decade old white hat strategy.
At the beginning of November Google announced support for something called GoodRelations and I wrote about a major shift for search listing domination. As an early beta user of ThemeZoom knowing how the wider aspects of this will affect our business in specific ways I sent the link to Sue. Sue read it and told Russell and next thing I know, I’m introducing the semantic web into your ThemeZoom mix.
Theme Zoom has a new CEO. Former CEO Russell Wright announces who this is and why this decision was made.
# Primary networks and secondary networks withing the Theme Zoom online market swallowing (domination0 method invented by Russell Wright and Sue Bell.
# More information about the DWS system (SEO project management system being worked on).
One of the things we will discuss this year at TZ Certification 2010 is how you need to know enough about you or your clients business to create an irresistible offer. If you are going to do work as an SEO for a client, at the very least you should be able to rattle off your customers “Touchstone” part of the irresistible offer from the perspective of a prospect.
This “futurist” series introducing a zoomed-out view of two possible technological futures mankind is moving towards. This perspective will be helpful to any business owner who wishes to prepare and take advantage of the many upcoming changes in mankind’s relationship to technology and the ever-increasing limits of his attention.

In this weeks podcast Matt DaCruz announces a stealth “Blog Silo” module he has been working on for some time. It will be available for current TZ-DWS users at the current price point. For the record, I am not thrilled about that, but Matt and Sue are pretty generous so that is the way it will be going down. If you are interested in gaining access to this new Blog-Silo module at the current price point you may want to go ahead and jump into the rather inexpensive TZ-DWS system at the current price point.
Some of you may recall in May when it was confirmed that Google was creating a “ranking change” (not a crawler change) in their algorithm that seemed to threaten one-hit-wonders and other low hanging fruit long tail keywords.
We are preparing you for the Theme Zoom DWS Affiliate launch and want to make sure you are notified in advanced. We will be setting up our friends and family (and business partners) with the affiliate kit before anyone else.

Here is an interview with Matt Da Cruz of Domain Web Studio and Russell Wright of Theme Zoom. These two companies have teamed up to create what is probably the most comprehensive Mult-User, Multi-Task SEO Project Management System in existence.
Today we are going to reveal the general process of “owning” your niche using the TZ-DWS Market Research and Project Management System. We also call this “Swallowing Your Market Whole.”
The primary way that most sales copy writers have moved somebody across the finish line to hit the “buy” button is to offer a “Bribe.” Be careful how you do this so you do not sound tacky. There are several other ways to get a visitor to take action, including “bundling” and price-value propositions.
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the difference between Keyword Research and Market Research. How much time, money and significance you place on them is very important.
Which tool you choose should depend on two things: What kind of data you need for the work that you are doing and HOW you need that data interpreted. (This is usually decided based on the PURPOSE of the data.
This video is about Krakken’s “Vertical Market” versus “Synonymic Set” function. There has been some confusion about how to tabulate this giant pile of keywords that gives you the TSMV or “total search market value” tabulation within the application.
We will provide you with other videos on this application by other Theme Zoom team members, this video series is just meant to be a reminder of some of the hidden gems found within the Krakken VOMA (vertical online market analysis) application.
In this video I reveal a sneak peek about how I use both Krakken and TLKT with a real live client. In this video the following points can be gleaned:
Everything is a Painkiller: Market Positioning and Keyword Research
Hi folks, What is the difference between The Last Keyword Tool and Krakken? Here is part one of a video that covers this very generally. In this video I cover a new definition: Organic Rank Value: (ORV) is the Organic [...]

We’ve been hard at work creating some new filters and columns for you. Some of these were inspired by the abilities we have available in Krakken. I thought I would share the filters with you today and tell you a [...]
The most basic function of any keyword tool is to provide a list of keywords with some associated raw data. Most keyword tools do this part pretty well as generating keywords is hardly rocket science at this point. The big [...]
Internationalization when it comes to keywords can be pretty tricky. The three most common pieces of data are AdWords cost and traffic, and competing pages in various search engines. This data doesn’t actually change that much, but it has to [...]
As the main engineer for Theme Zoom, I frequently get questions/requests that use varying other tools as points of comparison or reference. One of the most common classes of tools is the Keyword Tool class. I won’t bother to mention [...]
When I was studying with Bruce Clay in 2004, one of the big topics of training was how to properly silo a website for a client. As I recall, Bruce spent many hours trying to explain it to the students in his class. Only a few managed to grasp the concept effectively even when he drew everyone an explicit picture:
For example, you really should not put a keyword in the non-visible part of your web page (meta-data and meta-tags) that is not also in the visible text of your website. In theory, this could harm your long term rankings. (All of you cloakers and black hatters can ignore this comment, because I can hear your thoughts). But the fact is that the search engines, and especially Google, will penalize you for having inappropriate keywords in your meta-data or “technical website under the hood.” This is why the “technical agenda” deserves its own keyword category. The technical agenda is a complete school of philosophy all on its own.
Hello folks, We got a help desk question about Krakken’s co-occurrence column and how to use it. Here is a rough paraphrase of the question: Concerning the co-occurrence percentages what is the difference between a co-occurrence of 85.6 % and [...]
I remember one of the major pains as an SEO/SEM consultant was uncertainty about “what to do next” upon completion of vertical keyword research. Most of the keyword research tools on the market only gave me “ad-hoc” results with no clear direction as to where to put the keywords they suggested. It was a very obtuse process
