Hello folks,
Today’s video series will cover a filter called “Tangent Markets” located in TLKT (The Last Keyword Tool). This filter is great for competitive keywords that you want to explore for possible “related markets.” Sometimes you can find profitable articles and potential silos for your primary website using the tangent themes filter.
This filter is also a great “conversation starter” for clients. It will help you ask additional questions relating to your clients primary theme or business model. It is easy to find the “profitable overlaps” in one market as it relates to a tangent market using this method:

In the above video I use the vertical theme “bed bugs” to discuss the “tangent themes” such as “Lymes” (as in Lymes disease) which our language processing technology reveals to be a tangent and related market theme. Digging deeper we discovered that “lymes disease” is a pretty important tangent market to bed bugs in that there has been some concern (and online gossip) that lymes disease could possibly be vectored by bed bugs.
In video 2, I give you an example of using the tangent theme filter with a more competitive theme of “health insurance.” I also show you how to drill into the tangent word by turning it into a long tail and drilling deeper using TLKT as well.
